SANTA CLARA, Calif.\u2013\u2013May 31, 2016 IC Microsystems, a fabless semiconductor supplier of specialized analog and mixed-signal ICs, and Silvaco, Inc., a leading supplier of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software, today announced a partnership to launch the support for OpenAccess-based (OA) interoperable process design kits (iPDKs) that has been recently added to Silvaco\u2019s custom IC design tools portfolio.
\nThe adoption of iPDKs is growing because standardizing on a single process design kit allows access and interoperability between any OpenAccess based tool. This significantly reduces support costs, increases tool choice for users, and speeds adoption of new silicon processes on trusted and production ready kits. Silvaco\u2019s custom design tools including Gateway schematic capture and Expert layout editor have recently added support for OpenAccess iPDKs. This support makes design migration across multiple vendor tools easier.
